Ensoniq sd 1 vs ts109/21/2023 ![]() ![]() Simply remove the old display by desoldering the pins on all four corners. The transwave set in the TS10 is smaller than the VFX/SD1 and the audio engine is different. This display is for Ensoniq ESQ-1, SQ80, VFX, VFX/SD, SD1, TS10 & TS12. I know what a transwave is.I owned the ASR-10 and ASR-X in the past, and now I don´t want to make and transfer them to start making stuff TS series fully backwards compatible with vfx, sd series, plus you can load in samples and mangle them, so i'm not sure why you're avoidant of the TS series. Not only do you get more of what you want (pure waves) but you get more of everything else. This is why i am recommending the TS series to you. Look into what a transwave is it is basically wavetable synthesis with the ability to make the base waveforms themselves more dynamic. I know what you mean and the TS series has a lot more waves built in. I like it for the sound character of the pure waves (not just the transwaves ones) and the synthesis capabilities (2 filters, 3 EGs, layering, fx, modulations) I don´t know exactly what do you mean, but by "ROMpler" I mean just the fact that it has fixed waves in ROM, period. ![]() SD1 is only a "rompler" if you have stacks of floppy disks to use with it. SD1TS10 - Convert from VFX-SD,SD-1 to TS-10 (Seqs & Songs) TS10 Pkg - Convert Ensoniq TS-10,TS-12 sequences to/from SMF - includes EDM ASR Pkg - Convert. ![]() Anselmi wrote:yeah, well, in the past I would go with the more featured one, but now I have no time and patience for making and transfer my own transwaves.I think this will kill my workflow, so I kept the TS10 out of the equation ![]()
